Affordable & Workforce Housing

In concert with its closely-related entities, Mills Development has created affordable/workforce housing with funds procured from housing finance agencies utilizing both 4% and 9% tax credits, USDA, HUD, RD, Housing Authorities, municipalities, CDBG, AHP, HOME, non-profit entities, and tax credit investors to create the most project value while housing our workforce. 

Student Housing

Through single purpose entities or closely related corporations, Mills has co-developed and/or constructed 15 different safe and engaging student housing communities in North Carolina and South Carolina. 

Financing Expertise

Mills Development companies utilize a myriad of financing mechanisms from the following entities

Farmers Home Administration (FmHA), Rural Development (RD), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HOME, Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), Community Development Block Grants-Disaster Relief (CDBG-DR), Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and conventional loan programs.
